Sudan's location as a country in sub-Saharan Africa has imposed many humanitarian challenges related to the emerging displacement and refugees movement, whether from the effects of environmental factors such as cycles of prolonged drought and sudden floods and devastating torrents, in addition to the harsh and never ending civil wars. Finally, the phenomenon of human trafficking and the use of the country as a transit point from the heart of the continent to its north for those wishing to illegally migrate to the northern countries in Europe. The challenges do not stop at the displacement, refugees and illegal immigration movement, but there is a rise in unemployment rates and a decline in the level and quality of education. The scarcity or even absence of projects to support sustainable development in sub-Saharan Africa, specifically the Sahel region, has led to a deterioration in the quality of life and a lack of contribution by the countries of the region to development efforts at the local and global levels. In the midst of these challenges, the need for a non-governmental organization that is specifically concerned with the peace and development agenda has emerged as the greatest challenge facing Sudan, the African Sahel region and all of sub-Saharan Africa. This organization was established in an exceptional atmosphere following the outbreak of war in Sudan that caused largest displacement in human history of more than twelve million people inside and outside the country. Development project areas became desolate, suffering from the dissolution of activists and the cessation of international funding. The idea of the Kush Organization for Peace and Development came as an initiative that gathered a group of Sudanese scholars, activists and professionals who are committed to the interest of humanity to unify efforts and extend a hand of cooperation and solidarity to all United Nations organizations, civil society organizations and all stakeholders to support urgent needs and urgent support programs, without neglecting the main goal of the organization, which is to rise from the base of the seventeen sustainable development goals of the United Nations. Then work effectively to strengthen the values of peaceful coexistence and develop initiatives that counter the racism and discrimination. Based on such facts, Kush Organization stands as a unique organization in its goals, activities and membership
